Greetings from the deep freeze here in cowboy country.... burrrrr....
I was really too generous last week when I sent off some of our warm degrees. Please be so kind as to some warmth... if you can spare some.
I'd like to be a cat in my next life. Laying on the floor next to me is our black kitty, we call Cuddles. He snuggled on the rug, in the warmest spot in the house... all warm and cozy. Hey, maybe that's why I'm cold! My kitten is absorbing all the heat!
OK, back to pillows.

I am disappointed, I thought that maybe someone would be older than me for a change, but you're not. I will be 40 in April. That makes me two months older, argh!!
I am freezing in Manitoba too.
I used to sew car dice, hundreds and thousands of them. I was in grade seven and our whole family had the job. It was a great source of income. Do you sew pillows for a job or a hobby?
Hi Darlene! Thanks for coming by.
When my son was born, I tried to nurse him with the support of bed pillows. That didn't work out too well. So I then found a pattern for a breastfeeding pillow. Sewed it up. Then other moms wanted to know where they could get one.
So, after working with this one pattern for a while, I created a version that better suited me and was easier to work with... that was the birth of my breastfeeding pillow business!
We celebrated 10 years in business in 2004.
My husband and I work together. He cuts the fabric, stuffs pillows, and does the hand finish work. I do all the sewing, packaging, marketing, and customer relation work.
It's been a nice business for us. Now we pay our kids to help out.
That's so neat that your family had a sewing business too! What a great opportunity it must have been for everyone involved!
