We were all up at 6am this morning. The boys had breakfast then we had scripture reading and family prayer. The kids were out the door by a little after 7.
It feels like we're already in a routine.
I even got out for a walk today!!! Has been a while. I'm getting really out of shape. My goal is to go for a morning and evening walk.
"See" you later!
Living life to it's fullest... puttering around the kitchen... and raising a family in the beautiful Wyoming countryside!

Kids are back to school...
Hi there. Been way too long since my last post.
The kids went back to school today! My elder son, Matthew, went to the middle school for 6th grade. I waited with him for the school bus... camera in hand. Yes... me and all other kids... I was the only mom there taking pictures... making sure that he got on the bus OK...
We have a brand new elementary school here in town. Yes, I made sure that my little guy found a place for his bike and got into school OK... and took pictures of him and his buddy.
Sigh... it's a happy and sad day all at the same time.
Do you remember those twinges of sorrow when you first child went to Kindergarten? I've been experiencing some of those today... only my boys are in 2nd and 6th grade.
I think that it's because Matthew has gone to middle school with the whole changes classes thing... and he's taking the bus... and...
So, I made peanut butter cookies for my guys. They'll be home pretty soon.
Off I go to get some vacuuming done. Tomorrow I kick start my business with lots of calls. I'm sure that I'll feel more normal then.

Weeds and Kids...
When I first moved to Wyoming from Boston, I asked my mother-in-law... "What grows good out here?"
Her quick reply was... "Weeds and Kids..."
And I laughed....
Well, as I write this entry... I'm all drippy with sweat... I've been weeding my raspberry and stawberry patches...
Oh my goodness!!! I've pulled 3 wheel barrels fulls of weeds so far. We've got this terrible weed here that looks like a morning glory and actually has pretty little flowers. But! You pull them up and they come back with a vengence!
I've decided that weed pulling is the solution to many problems...
need some exercise... PULL WEEDS
feeling a little down... PULL WEEDS
got a headache... PULL WEEDS
got something troubling you.... PULL WEEDS
There you have it! Oh yes... the Kids part... they love it here in the country!!!! And I love having them here!
Time to sip some Performance on my garden bench and read a bit before the sun goes down!

It's a lovely day here in northern Wyoming. It's been in the 80's with a lovely breeze.... Reminiscent of Fall actually!
I've got my supper simmering on the stove. Black beans and rice. It's a favorite with my family.
The garden is producing more cucumbers than 3 families can eat!!! Guess that I'd better learn how to make pickles. It's fun to give the cukes away to families without gardens too.

Ring the bells...
I was walking through my garden and there... hidden... were two ripe red tomatoes(this is the bell ringing part)! I'm about ready to slice them up and enjoy... all myself! OK, would you like a piece?
It's a rainy night. A wonderful rainy evening. We sure need this rain. Been real dry here for about a month. Thank goodness for our irrigation water. It's what keeps this dry land green with vegetation.
I'm also greatful for the cooler temperatures of this week. It was in the 100s last week! This week in supposed to stay in the 80's... much better house building weather!
The boys are enjoying the last days and weeks of their summer. Each day some time is spent at the "property" moving dirt or lumber for Daddy... then there's the pool... and the summer Enrichment program... and just hanging out with friends and cousins.
The kids go back to school on Aug. 23rd. I've scheduled hair cuts. Next will be clothes shopping... and oh yea... school supplies...
This is totally off the subject...
I have one sample left of this instant firming serum stuff. It's sitting here on my desk. I use it around my eyes and lip line. Now that I'm 40... I'm paying more attention to those little wrinkles!!!
Would you like it? Fill out this thing and write "Send that last sample of Enfutox to your blogging buddy"... and I'll send it along! Sorry I have only one left!
